Gabriela considers herself blessed with a mother that
helped her become more logical in her early years, while her personality is
more intuitive and creative. With great grades at math and physics it was
logical to embrace a technical profession:
Electronics Engineering. By not following her natural path, she did
not get satisfaction from the engineering career, the experience in IT and
Quality Assurance, or by obtaining the post-graduated diploma in Business
Administration. The turning point in Gabriela’s career came from
changing perspectives in 2003, after she immigrated to Canada from Romania.
Instead of looking to what’s available outside, she started to dig inside,
paying attention to her intuition: What does she really want? What are the
skills that she will enjoy using in her career? What’s really important to
her? She pondered these questions for three years, while
focusing on her integration into the Canadian life. In 2006, the answers led
her to explore a new career, Coaching, and she totally fell in love with it!
In February 2007 Gabriela quit the engineering position in Quality Assurance
to fully embark in her new career, with no regrets! Trained by The
Coaches Training Institute in Co-active Coaching (2006), Gabriela is an
Accredited Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Coach Federation. She’s
also trained in Organisation and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC, Center
for Right Relationship), Body Centered Coaching (Marlena Field) and Harmonic Wealth® Coaching (CoachVille
& James Ray International). From her life challenges (divorce, single parent,
immigration, career change), Gabriela learned how to successful deal with
changes and challenges. James Arthur Ray’s workshops gave her more confidence and
increased awareness of the connection between mind, body, spiritual and
material world. The powerful experiences from these workshops, along with the
spiritual experiences from the Egypt trip in 2008, accelerated her Spiritual
Awakening. Gabriela created her business “Co-Active For Future” in
2006, with the intention of becoming Co-Creators of a Wonderful
Future. Believing that such Future exists motivates us to focus together on
building it! In parallel with her own business, she designed and implemented a successful Mentoring Program at
Centre Francophone de Toronto (for francophone professional newcomers), based
on Life and Relationship System Coaching concepts and techniques. Gabriela started to write articles from a life coaching
perspective at the request of the owners of the Romanian-Canadian newspaper “ACASA”. Her articles could be read in
both “ACASA” and “Observatorul”
newspapers. The article “Homeless in downtown San Diego” was published in “Lumea
Credintei” (“The World of Belief” - monthly magazine, overall
circulation/ issue 25.000). Gabriela likes to give back to the
community: she created and led the Active JET Toronto (Jan. - July 2009),
delivers free workshops and motivational speeches, participated in 2006 &
2008 at CN Tower Climb/ Fundraising for United Way, fed homeless people on
Canada Day, helped newcomers as a mentor in the TRIEC Mentoring Partnership
Program, and is the president of Romanian Business Networking Society since
January 2010 (volunteering position). Besides coaching (empowering people), she
is passionate about photography, nature, hiking, arts and the Holographic
